Why dine out when you can dine in
Hello and thank you for stopping by today. I hope you are all having a fabulous day so far. I know I am 🙂 One more day until Friday! Can’t wait! Today I wanted to share the details of dining spaces I’ve created. The dinner table and breakfast table is a big deal around my house. This is where we spend time with our family and friends. Whether we are sitting in the nook eating a traditional breakfast and enjoying our coffee or having a dinner party in the formal dining room entertaining guests, we always gather together at the table. So many memories are made at my tables and shopping for a good quality table can be time consuming and expensive. I want to show you how to achieve the high end look on a budget and save you some time. I purchased most of my dining furniture on sale at World Market and I do the same for many of my clients. The funny thing is a lot people think my dining tables are from Restoration Hardware or Pottery Barn but I only pay a fraction of the cost and didn’t sacrifice on quality. That’s why I love World Market so much (Trust me, they didn’t pay me to say that). I rather save the money and spend it on getting more home accessories instead 😉 Not to say that I don’t purchase high ticketed items because I do, I’m just very selective about it (I rather spend it on a designer handbag lol). I guess we all have different priorities 😉
The table in my dining room is the Rustic Java Greyson Fixed Dining Table . I purchased it for under $700. This table is heavy so you will need at least 2 people to carry it in. I paired the rustic table with 4 Paige Round Dining Chairs. Originally I saw a table and chairs like this at Restoration Hardware while shopping for a mirror. Since the furniture I bought was for a fraction of the cost, I could justify buying the Restoration Hardware mirror! When it comes to dining chairs I don’t think they always need to match so I went with some Wingback Chairs as big end seats. There’s nothing like distinguishing the Head of the table like a big chair. To complete the look I put down a linen table runner (From my friend Lindsay @ Alwayloudesign) and some chrome candle holders from HomeGoods. I set the table all year round with chargers and some clean white plates and linen napkins from Target. I’ve heard people are on the fence about leaving the table set. I say if you like do it. You won’t hear me complain, plus it’s so beautiful to look at year round.
My younger sister asked me to help design her dining room and I knew right away she needed one of the Rustic Greyson Dining Table. It fits perfectly in her space paired with Linen Lydia Dining chairs. Gorgeous right? I love it.
My Nook room is a perfect place to enjoy some coffee and have breakfast. Because I have two little boys, I wanted a durable hand scrapped wood table to hide the dents from the damage my boys can do. The Arcadia Extension Table , It’s the perfect piece for this room. Eventually I will purchase 6 of the Wood and Rattan Syena chairs to complement this table. World Market is currently out of stock of the zebra printed chairs (which I get asked about a lot). The Cocoa Paige Round Back Armchair is closest in style and shape which I also absolutely love.
I hope you find my tips useful and enjoy my spaces as much as I do. Why dine out when you can dine in! XOXO – EP
